An Excellent Professional Development Opportunity: Teaching for Mastery Open Lessons

Join us for a valuable professional development experience through our Teaching for Mastery Open Lessons.

The session will begin with the Teaching for Mastery Specialist (TFMS) providing context for the lesson. You will then observe the lesson (or part of it), with a particular focus on one of the Five Big Ideas. Following the observation, there will be a reflective discussion to explore what was observed, the impact on learning, and an opportunity to ask questions.

This is not about evaluating the lesson but about sharing teaching approaches and understanding how key decisions influence learning outcomes.

We are offering a range of open lessons across the hub area, spanning different year groups, including mixed-age classes. Some lessons will showcase the Mastering Number programme, and one specialist will offer a lesson focused on the new KS2 Number Programme, currently in its pilot phase.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professional development for you and your colleagues.
