This Research and Innovation Work Group is designed to explore the everyday classroom practices that support the development of problem-solving skills, attitudes and mindsets within Teaching for Mastery classrooms.
Key Questions to Consider:
- Do pupils in your school approach problem solving with confidence and success?
- Is there a consistent approach to problem-solving across your school?
- Do your staff have a secure understanding of problem-solving strategies and the challenges pupils may encounter?
What you’ll learn:
- Practical strategies to enhance problem solving in your school.
- A deeper understanding of problem-solving approaches and how to implement them effectively.
- Insights into the barriers pupils may face and how to overcome them.
- The opportunity to collaborate with like-minded maths leaders to develop a consistent, whole-school approach to problem solving.
